CurbNotes is provided by JEMEJ Apps as a private workspace for evaluating homes. This policy explains how the app handles information. CurbNotes does not require a CurbNotes account, and JEMEJ Apps does not operate a server that receives your listing or household data.
Information you provide
CurbNotes stores the information you enter, including property addresses and details, listing URLs, criteria, ratings, statuses, notes, and household changes. Asking-price history can include the amount, listing URL, observation time, whether the value was entered manually or detected from a listing source, and identifiers that preserve the order of changes. The app also creates timestamps, a random device identifier used to order edits, and a separate random participant identifier used to keep each person's opinions distinct. This information is stored on your device and is not sent to JEMEJ Apps.
Google Drive and folder sync
If you enable Google Drive sync, you explicitly choose a one-file household for a new or voluntarily recreated household, or the existing folder format. In one-file mode, CurbNotes creates one versioned JSON file, directly grants only your confirmed partner Editor access, and requires the recipient to authorize exactly that file through Google Picker. Existing folder households keep their manifest and writer-isolated artifacts inside the exact household folder; the CurbFolio parent and sibling households are not shared. The app uses Google's narrow drive.file permission and stores exact provider identifiers only in backup-excluded device configuration. To bind that configuration to the selected Drive user, CurbNotes asks Drive for the user's provider permission identifier and, when Google supplies it, email address. CurbNotes persists a one-way SHA-256 account fingerprint derived from the permission identifier and may store the email separately as an optional account-picker hint.
During partner setup, you can enter the Google Account email address of the person you want to invite. After you review the full address and exact household destination, CurbNotes sends the address to Google Drive to identify that account and grant Editor access only to that file or folder, and asks Drive not to send a separate sharing-notification email. The address is held in a temporary, backup-excluded recovery record until the CurbNotes invitation chooser opens; it is not put in household files or the invitation or sent to JEMEJ Apps. Google retains the resulting Drive permission until you remove it in Drive.
The raw provider permission identifier and Google authorization tokens are held only in memory and are not written to CurbNotes storage. Shared data includes versioned listing data and asking-price observations and history. Existing connections keep their IDs, and CurbNotes does not automatically migrate, move, rename, merge, or delete provider objects. People you authorize to access household files can read and change their contents. Google handles Drive data under your Google account and Google's terms and privacy policy.
Listing pages and other storage providers
CurbNotes contacts a listing site only as part of an action you start, such as asking it to look up listing details, checking a saved listing's price, or sharing or pasting a listing into the app. Facts included directly in recognized Realtor.com, Redfin, Zillow, and Homes.com share text are parsed locally. A short provider link may be resolved, and a shared URL with no supported facts may be requested for optional page details as part of that intake. Page requests are limited to validated public HTTPS destinations and safe redirects. The listing site can receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser-style headers. CurbNotes does not send the page or result to JEMEJ Apps, run scheduled or repeated background scraping, evade access controls, or use a JEMEJ Apps scraping service. The compatibility folder-sync option can also access only a folder you explicitly choose through Android's system picker; that storage provider processes the data under its own terms.
Device storage, backup, exports, and invites
App data is kept in Android app-private storage. Depending on your Android backup settings, eligible local app data may be copied to your configured Android backup service. CurbNotes excludes its entire device-specific preference file from cloud backup and device transfer. That excluded file contains the active local writer identity; sync connection and persisted Drive or folder configuration; the Drive account fingerprint and optional email hint; device-local Drive hierarchy and recovery journals, including any temporary partner-email permission recovery record; and reviewed price-observation, listing-source last-checked, and guided share-back correlation state. A replacement installation receives a new active writer identity and must re-establish its device-specific sync connection. Historical writer identifiers already recorded on household operations remain in collaboration data and full JSON exports so devices can preserve the order and causality of edits. Listing details awaiting an incoming-share review are held as app-private in-progress screen state. None of that attention, correlation, or pending-review workflow state is placed in household collaboration data, JSON exports, or CSV exports.
Versioned JSON exports contain the full shared workspace, including asking-price observations and history. Spreadsheet (CSV) exports contain each listing's current asking price but do not contain price-observation history or its provenance. Export and household-invite files are created only when you request them and may remain in apps or locations where you share or save them.
Collection, sharing, advertising, and sale
The app does not send your CurbNotes workspace data to JEMEJ Apps, and JEMEJ Apps does not sell it or use it for advertising. Information you choose to send in a support message is handled as described below. The app contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDK and has no subscription or billing feature. Data leaves the device only for features you choose or enable, such as sending a confirmed partner email to Google Drive to grant access to the exact household destination, Google Drive or folder sync, Android backup, a listing-site request, sharing an export or household invite, or contacting support.
Help, feedback, and the support website
The Help & feedback screen uses Android's email handoff to open an email app or chooser. You can edit the subject and message before sending. If you opt in, it also includes the CurbNotes version, Android version, and device model shown for your review. CurbNotes does not automatically attach logs, listings, addresses, prices, notes, Google Drive details, account information, participant information, or other workspace data. Nothing is sent to JEMEJ Apps unless you complete the send action. Your email app and provider process the message under their own terms, and JEMEJ Apps receives the sender information and content you choose to send.
If no email app is available, CurbNotes offers https://apps.jemej.com/ as the public support fallback. Visiting the support or privacy website can cause the web host to process ordinary request and security information, such as IP address, requested page, date and time, and browser or device headers, in hosting logs. Those logs are separate from CurbNotes app data and are handled under the host's configuration and retention practices. Any hosting-log information JEMEJ Apps receives or controls is used for site delivery, security, and diagnostics, not advertising.
Security
CurbNotes relies on Android app isolation, HTTPS connections, Google authorization, and the access controls of storage providers. You control who can access shared household files. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure, so protect your device, Google account, exports, and household permissions.
Retention and deletion
JEMEJ Apps retains no copy of your CurbNotes workspace data unless you choose to include it in support correspondence. Support emails you choose to send and ordinary website hosting logs are the exceptions described above; they may be retained as needed to operate, secure, and respond through those services. You can ask JEMEJ Apps to delete support correspondence we control by using the contact address below.
You can delete a listing from the app's ordinary visible workspace. To keep an older or offline copy from silently restoring it, the versioned collaboration format retains a deletion record and may retain causally necessary listing facts, edits, identifiers, or concurrent candidates in household data and full JSON exports. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes the local copy from that device, subject to your Android backup settings, but it does not erase copies already synchronized, exported, shared, or backed up. Disconnecting a phone, ending household sharing, or revoking Google authorization does not delete data already stored in Google Drive or change Drive permissions. Ending household sharing records a terminal closure in the household data but does not change Drive permissions. Remove a person in Drive's Manage access screen to revoke that person's permission, and delete CurbNotes household files, exports, invites, backups, and recipient copies from their storage locations when you no longer want them.
Children
CurbNotes is not directed to children under 13, and JEMEJ Apps does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when CurbNotes's features or data practices change. The effective date will be updated, and material changes will be reflected in the app and this public page.
